# Stripe

Payments, billing and subscriptions for internet businesses.

Stripe takes payments online and runs billing, invoices and subscriptions.

Stripe's MCP server reaches the API through generic tools rather than one tool per method: `stripe_api_read` runs any supported `GET` method and `stripe_api_write` any supported `POST`, `PATCH`, `PUT` or `DELETE` method, while `stripe_api_search` and `stripe_api_details` find a method and its parameters. The CLI signs in with `stripe login` in the browser, or reads a key from `STRIPE_API_KEY`.

## Tools

- tool:stripe/create-coupon — Create a coupon: Creates a percent-off or amount-off discount and returns the coupon to apply to invoices and subscriptions.
- tool:stripe/create-payment-link — Create a payment link: Creates a Stripe-hosted checkout link for the prices you pass and returns it with its shareable URL.
- tool:stripe/list-customers — List customers: Returns customers newest first; pass an email to get only the customers with exactly that address.
- tool:stripe/list-invoices — List invoices: Returns invoices newest first, filtered by customer, subscription or status such as paid or open.
- tool:stripe/list-subscriptions — List subscriptions: Returns subscriptions filtered by status, customer or price; with no status it returns every subscription that is not canceled.
