# Notion

Docs, wikis and databases in one AI workspace.

Notion is an AI workspace for docs, wikis and databases, where teams build Custom Agents, search across their apps and automate busywork.

A database holds one or more data sources, and each row of a data source is a page. API requests also send a `Notion-Version` header; `ntn api` adds it for you.

One personal access token works for the CLI and the API: the CLI reads it as
`NOTION_API_TOKEN` and API requests as `NOTION_API_KEY`, each the name that
way's docs use.

- tool:notion/create-page — Create a page: Creates a page under a parent page, or a new row in a data source, with property values and content.
- tool:notion/query-data-source — Query a data source: Returns the pages in a data source that match a filter, in the requested sort order.
- tool:notion/read-page — Read a page: Returns a page's content as Notion-flavored markdown.
- tool:notion/search-workspace — Search the workspace: Finds pages and data sources that match a query.
- tool:notion/update-page — Update a page: Changes a page's property values, icon or cover.
