# Loops

Email platform for software companies, with campaigns, event-triggered workflows and transactional email.

Loops is an email platform for software companies: marketing campaigns,
workflows that start when an event arrives or a contact changes, and
transactional email, all sent from one product.

The MCP server exposes four generic tools: `search` finds a Loops API
operation, `describe` shows its request shape, `execute` runs it for a team,
and `teams` lists the teams you can reach. It signs in with OAuth, so the
client must support Client ID Metadata Documents or be preregistered with
Loops. The `loops` CLI and the REST API take an API key. The API allows 10
requests per second per team, and 60 per minute on the content endpoints,
campaigns included.

## Tools

- tool:loops/create-audience-segment — Create an audience segment: Saves a named segment of the contacts that match an audience filter, for targeting campaigns and filtering workflows.
- tool:loops/create-campaign — Create a campaign: Creates a draft marketing campaign with an empty email message, optionally aimed at a mailing list, segment or filter and scheduled.
- tool:loops/send-event — Send an event: Sends a named event for a contact, found by email address or user ID, to start the workflows it triggers, and creates the contact if it doesn't exist.
- tool:loops/send-transactional-email — Send a transactional email: Sends a published transactional email to one recipient, filled with the data variables you pass.
- tool:loops/upsert-contact — Create or update a contact: Updates the contact with a matching email address or user ID, or creates it, with properties and mailing list subscriptions.
