# lemlist

Sales engagement platform to find leads, enrich contacts and run multichannel outreach campaigns.

lemlist is a sales engagement platform for cold outreach: it finds leads in
its people and companies databases, enriches them with verified emails and
phone numbers, runs multichannel campaigns across email, LinkedIn, phone and
WhatsApp, and keeps contacts and replies in its own CRM and inbox. The MCP
server and the `lemlist` CLI sign in with OAuth; the MCP server also accepts
an API key in an `X-API-Key` header, and `?bucket=` narrows the tools it
advertises. The CLI's `lemlist api <METHOD> <path>` calls any endpoint of the
REST API.

The REST API uses HTTP Basic auth with an empty username and the API key as
the password, so `LEMLIST_API_KEY` must hold the base64 encoding of `:`
followed by the key. Each key may send 20 requests every 2 seconds, and
enrichment spends the team's credits.

- tool:lemlist/add-lead-to-campaign — Add a lead to a campaign: Creates a lead in a lemlist campaign from an email, name, company and custom variables, optionally finding or verifying their email first; it never updates an existing lead.
- tool:lemlist/enrich-person — Enrich a person: Starts a lookup that finds a person's verified email, phone number or LinkedIn profile, or verifies an email you have, and returns an id to fetch the result with.
- tool:lemlist/search-companies — Search companies: Returns companies from lemlist's database that match filters such as industry, company size or technologies used, with their location, employee count and technologies.
- tool:lemlist/search-people — Search people: Returns people from lemlist's B2B database who match filters such as country, job title or department, with their LinkedIn profile and current company but no email address.
- tool:lemlist/send-inbox-email — Send an email from the inbox: Sends one email to a lemlist contact or lead from a connected mailbox, as a new message or as a reply in their latest thread.
