# Hunter

Find and verify professional email addresses, enrich people and companies, and run email outreach.

Hunter finds and verifies professional email addresses: it lists the people
and emails behind a company domain, finds one person's email, checks
deliverability, discovers companies that match a profile, enriches people and
companies, and runs outreach sequences from saved leads. The hosted MCP server
covers all of it; Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini sign in with OAuth, and other
clients send the API key in an `X-API-Key` header. The REST API accepts the
key in that header, as a Bearer token, or as the `api_key` query parameter.

Every plan, including the free one, can use the API and the MCP server. Usage
counts against the plan's credits: a search uses 1 credit and a verification
half a credit, while Discover (company search) is free.

- tool:hunter/find-email — Find a person's email: Returns the most likely work email for a person from their name and company domain or LinkedIn handle, with a confidence score, its verification status and the public sources.
- tool:hunter/search-companies — Search companies: Returns up to 100 companies that match a plain-language description or filters such as headquarters location, industry, headcount and company type, at no credit cost.
- tool:hunter/search-domain — Search a domain for emails: Returns the email addresses Hunter has found for a company domain, with each person's name, position, seniority, department and a confidence score.
- tool:hunter/verify-email — Verify an email address: Checks whether an email address is deliverable and returns its status (valid, invalid, accept_all, webmail, disposable or unknown), a score and the checks behind it.
