# Dropbox

Store, find, organize and share work files in one place.

Dropbox stores and syncs files and folders and shares them by link, with named people, or through file requests that collect uploads from others. Its HTTP API takes OAuth 2 access tokens; its remote MCP server, in beta, gives agents the same kinds of actions: search, shared links, file requests and file management.

- tool:dropbox/create-file-request — Create a file request: Creates a file request for a destination folder and returns the URL others use to upload files into it.
- tool:dropbox/create-shared-link — Create a shared link: Creates a shared link to a file or folder, with optional settings for audience, access, downloads, password and expiry.
- tool:dropbox/save-url — Save a file from a URL: Downloads the file at a URL into a path in the user's Dropbox, as a job that must finish within 15 minutes.
- tool:dropbox/search-files — Search files: Returns files and folders that match a query, optionally limited to a folder, file extensions, file categories or file names only.
